The Aurora Lear's home ph. 1

( Picture of Aurora looking out her window.) Photo 2

Aurora Lear peered out her living room window across the street and two houses up.

( Picture of Hines House.)   ph. 3

She had noticed the new neighbors earlier and knew who they were. She had seen them lots of times at Beth Hines house. Of course, it was Beth’s son and his family.
Aurora’s son, Brice, and Beth’s son, Morgan, grew up together. In fact, all the neighborhood kids had grown up and now they had children of their own.
Beth had often talked about her grandkids and how smart they were and she always spoke highly of her son and she always bragged about how successful he was.

( Picture of close up of Aurora.)  ph. 4

Aurora wished she could say the same for her own children.

( Picture of Lena in Jail - behind bars. Maybe ? )
ph. 5

Her oldest daughter, Lena, was in jail for drugs, and robbery and now Aurora was raising her 8 year old granddaughter, Kirsten.

( Picture of Brice Playing guitar in bar.) ph. 6

Aurora’s son, Brice, was more less a bum who lived in Bridgeport trying to make it big as a musician. However, he has been trying for the last 18 years. Sure he was famous in the bars and clubs in Bridgeport, but he never got farther than that. She told him to quit wasting his life away and get a real job. He needed to settle down.
He already blew it a long time ago. He could have been married by now and had children.

ph. 7

At one point in time, Aurora thought Brice and Cora would have gotten married, but that was a very long time ago. They had known each other since they started kindergarten together, and grew up together. They started dating when they were 16 years old and after high school moved to Bridgeport. Aurora didn’t know what happen, just that when they both were 20 years old, they broke up and Cora move back to Riverview while Brice stayed in Bridgeport.
Well, Aurora thought she knew why they broke up. Brice refuse to grow up and hold on to the fact that he was going to be a famous rock and roll star. He was now 36 years old and had never made it big and had been in and out of so much trouble with bar fights and so forth that she was surprise he wasn’t in jail now.
He had called her not to long ago to tell her he was sick of his life and wanted a change, but Aurora had heard this before and wasn’t sure if Brice was being serious or if he was just telling her that, because he was tired of hearing her grip.

( Picture of her walking into kitchen.)ph. 8

She turned from the window and walked into the kitchen and looked at the wall clock. It was 7:45 p.m., soon she would be going to bed.

( Picture of granddaughter.)  ph. 9

She didn’t worry about her granddaughter, Kirsten. She was spending the night with Imelda Waldron who lives across the street and one house down to Aurora’s right. The corner house.

( Picture - close up of Aurora. )  ph. 10

Aurora thought of how much she had spent on Lena. How bailing her daughter out of jail all the time cost money. She use to have a savings, a large one. She spent about every penny she had on bailing her daughter out of jail that last time. It almost cost Aurora everything. Luckily, she was able to sell some painting and keep her house,( she had used it on a bond for Lena, but then Lena skipped town and never showed up for her court date ).

( Picture of her looking at painting on wall.)ph. 11

She turned and walked into the dinning room and looked at one of the pictures on the wall. She gazed upon the one of her daughter, Lena and her child, Kirsten, when she was a toddler.  Lena looked happy with Kirsten, but the truth was, even then Lena was a bad drug addict. She just hid it well from her family.
Aurora had bailed Lena out the last time on a serious crime, robbing a store, her partner also had a gun, while Lena drove the getaway car. Aurora used her house as collectial on the very high bond and then Lena skipped town and not being found until a year later, cause Aurora to almost lose her house. She had sold 5 paintings for a wonderful price and was able to pay the bond.
Still to this day, Aurora felt regret and anger towards her daughter, and knew she would never forgive her. Lena took advantage of her and left her holding the bill and the responsibility.

( Picture of Lena and Aurora walking out of Police station or down stairs.)  ph. 12

Yes, Aurora shouldn’t have bailed Lena out, but her daughter had pleaded and begged and said she learnt her lesson and would change her ways.
Well, Lena didn’t change her ways and Aurora almost lost her home, and was left broke. Eventually, Lena was caught and ended up back in jail, actually prison this time, and Aurora ended up with Lena’s daughter, Kirsten, and Kirsten had been with her now for the last 4 years. Aurora was also able to build back up her savings, not like it use to be, but she did have a little money in the bank now.

ph. 13

Kirsten was a good girl. Maybe, she would become friends with Morgan Hines children, well depending on their age. Hopefully, they were good kids too. Kirsten had been through a lot when she was younger. Now for the last 4 years she had a stable home, a good enough life, and a grandma who loved her dearly.

( Picture of Aurora walking into LV room.) ph. 14

Aurora turned from the hall towards the living room. She was trying to make the best of her life with her granddaughter, because she felt she had failed Lena, Brice, and her youngest daughter, Leah.

ph. 15

However, Leah was quite successful unlike Lena and Brice. Leah was the youngest of her children and right now in college studying to be a doctor.
Luckily, Leah’s college fund was set up a long time ago into a trust that no one could touch. Each child had a college fund. Lena’s was spent a long time ago on bailing her out of jail, or on her just trying to pay bills. Brice blew most of his on his guitar career that ended up going no where.
Out of all her children, Leah was the one she was so proud of. Yet, so afraid that one day Leah would hate her like Lena did.
Aurora had kept the truth from them when they were children, but eventually secrets have a way of getting out.

( Picture of Aurora like she is thinking or Picture of Brice and his dad.) ph. 16

Brice knew he had a different father than his sisters.

( Picture of girls suppose father. Maybe with girls)
ph. 17

However, the man the girls thought was their father wasn’t.

( Picture of Sam and Amber.)  ph. 18

Their biological father was actually married to their Aunt, ( Aurora’s sister ), Amber.

( Picture of Aurora and Sam together.) ph. 19

For the longest time Aurora kept her affair with her brother-in-law a secret. She even lied to her sister about who Lena and Leah’s father was. Although, that wasn’t easy, because Lena looked like their father, Sam Sekemoto.

ph. 20
However, Aurora pointed out that they must have got their looks from Aurora and Amber’s mother, Jetta Lear, whose father was Asian. This seem to satisfy most peoples curiosity.
When the truth did finally come out; it was a terrible ordeal.

( Picture of Aurora and Amber fighting.) ph. 21

That happen 23 years ago and even though her brother-in-law had passed away, Amber could never forgive Aurora for what she had done. Aurora had gave birth to two children with Sam while he was married to Amber and had two children with her.

( Picture of Amber and two kids.)  ph. 22

Amber’s two children were a teenager and a child when Aurora gave birth to Lena. Leah was born two years later. Yes, Aurora had carried on an affair with Sam for about 5 years.

( Picture of Clark and girls )  ph. 23

She did break it off soon after Leah was born, and she ended up finding Clark Hauser, and he eventually adopted Lena and Leah when they were still toddlers.

( Picture of Amber looking at mail, but put her in house. Have her get mail. )  ph. 24

Then Sam passed away and Amber found some love notes that apparently he had wrote to Aurora, but never sent. By this time, Aurora had already been married to Clark for 2 years now. Her daughters were still toddlers and thought Clark was their dad. Brice who was a teen also just assume Clark was. Aurora had been with Clark before and that they had just finally got married. The truth was Brice really didn’t pay attention to the situation that much.

( Picture of Amber and Aurora fighting.) ph. 25

Amber confronted Aurora about it, but for the sake of all the children Amber agreed to never talk about it again, but in return Amber would never talk to Aurora ever again and she sold everything she had and moved her family far away. Aurora had never seen or heard from Amber since; not for 23 years now.

( Picture of Clark in hospital bed with Lena and Leah by his side.)  ph. 26

Lena and Leah eventually found out by the fact that their dad, Clark, got sick and needed a blood transfusion. They had gone to the hospital to help their dad. Aurora didn’t know about this. She found out when her daughters pulled her aside and confronted her with the fact that their blood and DNA didn’t match their father's. They demand the truth. Aurora told them everything.
Lena went off on her. Vowing she hated her and how could she do this to them, and their family, and to their Aunt Amber.
This happen 5 years ago. After that Lena was worst. She always had a rebellious side, but after Lena found out what her mother did, she became 10 times worst. At the time, Lena was 20 years old, but she became wild and strung out.
Aurora blamed herself for Lena’s anger and self destruction.
However, Aurora felt Lena was also to blame for her destruction. Lena had a toddler to take care of, but most of the time she left Kirsten by herself in a living room while Lena destoried her mind and body with men and drugs in her bedroom.
Even if Lena got out of prison today she still couldn’t get custody of her daughter.
Lena was arrested one night, 4 years ago, while Kirsten sat in the middle of the living room floor, crying, hungry, and filthy. Kirsten was sick and was malnutrition. Kirsten almost died that night.

 ph. 27
They granted custody to Aurora. She hadn’t seen her daughter or granddaughter for over a year, not since Lena skipped out on her bond and court date.
Child services made it clear that Lena could not have any contact with Kirsten ever again, or they would take Kirsten away from Aurora, and Kirsten would go into foster care and Aurora, and Lena would never see her again.

( Picture of Aurora looking into hallway mirror.)
ph. 28

Aurora walked back into the hall and looked into the hallway mirror. She was now 59 years old with grown kids and a granddaughter.
Her son, Brice, had never married or settled down and he had no children. At least none that he claimed. However, Aurora knew of his wild ways and his night life. She often asked him if he had any illegitimate children running around with those wild women he hung out with, but he always denied having any children.

( Picture of a young Brice hanging on the wall.)
ph. 29

She looked at his picture on the wall. He was such a great kid and was always on the honor roll. She was so proud of him at one point in time, but that changed after high school.
Now, he was living in Bridgeport playing his guitar in bars and clubs. He didn’t have anything to show for his life and it made Aurora sad.
When he learnt the truth about Lena and Leah’s biological father, his uncle. He was living in Bridgeport. He wasn’t exactly close to Aurora at the time, but he never hated his mom, but he did tell her that was messed up and he understood why Lena was so angry with her and their uncle.

( Picture of a young Leah hanging on the wall.)
ph. 30

Aurora turned and looked at a picture of Leah on the wall.
Leah took it a little better. She was still angry and hurt, but she didn’t hate her mom the way Lena did. Of course, Leah was a very passive child and an adult. It was her whole personality to be nurturing and loving. It was her personality that lead her to the career of a doctor.

( Picture of Aurora walk to the bedroom.) ph. 31

Aurora slowly moved away from the pictures and made her way to her bedroom.
Yes, a lot has happen in the last 12 years and most neighbors knew that her daughter was in jail, and that her son lived in Bridgeport trying to make a music career, and that her youngest daughter lived far away going to college, but no one knew about the affair she had with her brother-in-law, except for Beth Hines, her best friend.
She hoped that Morgan and his family moving into Beth’s old home wouldn’t discover her secret. That Beth never wrote it down anywhere.
Of course, why would Beth do that. Aurora was sure that Beth had taken her secret to the grave. She was just sure of it.
