My New Legacy - Helms-Lear - Gen 1 - Chapter Three

My New Legacy

Alayna's Story
Generation One

Chapter Three

Lessons

The next day, Alayna woke up that afternoon.

She woke up with a terrible hunger and realized she didn't have any chairs, or a couch to set on.  She actually sat on the toilet to eat her food!  She was disgusted with her life.

"It's so gross.  It's not fair!" she screamed, and quickly realize that she was in the open and the neighbors could see and hear her.

Once again, Alayna wanted to cry.  How could her parents do this to her?  They left her out in the open for all to see and to take care of herself.  It just wasn't fair!

She washed her bowl, then looked at the easel.  Her parents had it dropped off last night to her leaving a note saying this could help her with a career since she liked to paint anyway.

She finally decided why not and started painting.

It actually turn out to be fun and relaxing.  She enjoyed it so much she ended up painting the day away.

Soon she realize she had painted the whole day and it was getting late.  She wanted Christopher to come over to get to know him better, and called him up and invited him over.

He came over quite quickly, and they began to hang out.  She learned many things about Christopher, and that he even wanted children.  Which was good since Alayna's parents wanted her to give them grandkids or they would disown her.

However, Alayna wasn't sure about kids just yet.  After all, she was still young, but she did eventually want a kid or two.  However, only when she had enough money to hire a nanny to change the diapers, feed, and bathe the kids.  Alayna would only get the good parts of the kids like cooing, and hugs, and kisses.  The crying and icky could go to the nanny.

Eventually, they became hungry during their talking and Christopher, being the guest, waited patiently for Alayna to fix dinner.

Alayna finally got the hint and looked inside her fridge.  She had never cooked before in her life.  She saw things to make salad and decided that had to be simple enough to make and started preparing.

However, when she was preparing the food, she noticed Christopher soon took out his cell phone and called up his buddy.

Alayna found this a little rude, but ignored it.

Alayna was embarrass to tell Christopher that she had no where to sit and that they had to eat their food either standing up or sitting on the toilet.  Christopher stood, while Alayna sat.  She was so embarrass and once again found herself cursing her parents for putting her in this situation.

Christopher finished before she did, and once again he was calling up a friend.  She wondered if he was telling his friends about his date and how awful she was.  That she lived out in the open, not even a shack, and she ate while sitting on the toilet.

Alayna felt like crying.

However, when she finally did come around to face him again, he smiled at her.  A very friendly, happy smile and Alayna thought for just a moment that maybe he really did like her and wasn't talking bad about her.

She out of nowhere asked if he would like to pillow fight and to her joyous surprise he said yes.

So, they pillow fighted.

And had a great time.  For the first time in two days, Alayna was actually having fun.

Until her phone rang.  'Seriously', she thought as she excused herself to answer it.

It was her mother.   She keep it brief and more less told her mother that if she cared so much about her that she would come and get her.

Her mother simple said, "No dear, you have life lessons to learn on your own.  Good luck, hun, I love you", then her mother hung up.

Alayna was shocked.  Again, she hissed under her breathe and tried to be calm as she rounded the corner of her one wall.

Only to find, Christopher making himself comfortable on her bed, reading a book.

She asked him to quit and they talked for a little longer.  It was very late and finally Christopher went home, but not before he told her that he would like a second date with her.

Alayna agreed and told him goodnight.

She finally went to bed.  She felt better about Christopher being with her and thought maybe he was the guy for her.  He was very nice and not so bad looking, ( he needed a make over ), and he was around her age.

Maybe, she could marry him and he could work and take care of her.

Some time during the night, she woke up to see strange, beautiful lights coming from the other side of town.

Out of curiosity, she got up and followed the light to it's source.

It was coming from the woods, and down to it's source.

A unicorn!  It was a beautiful creature and Alayna couldn't believe her eyes.

The unicorn turned to her and said in a pleasant male voice, "You really need to learn how to behave.  Life can be filled with joy if you know how to treat others which in return gives you respect for yourself and everyone and learn how to care.  Being selfish is never the answer."

Alayna about had a heart attack when she heard the unicorn's words.  He just spoke!

"Are you listening?" the magical creature asked, sternly.

Alayna nodded her head yes.  She gulped as she stared wide eyed at the unicorn.

"Good, because life lessons are very important," he said.

"Yes," Alayna agreed, still shocked at seeing such a wonderful, magical creature.

"Good," the unicorn said, then added, "It's getting late, well morning, I have to go.  Remember what I said."

Then with speed that Alayna never knew was possible with horses, the unicorn raced out of the woods and disappeared into many colorful lights.  Away from this world and back into his own.

Alayna shocked and stunned, blinked several times, then found herself falling.  She blacked out.

This ends Chapter Three.  Thank you for reading.  I hope you enjoyed it.  Thanks.

My New Legacy - Helms-Lear - Gen 1 - Chapter Two

My New Legacy

Alayna's Story
Generation One

Chapter Two

Man Hunt

We last left off with Alayna heading into town to find a man.

Alayna arrived at the park.  It was a beautiful park and she could plainly see seeds.  Her parents had told her in their instructions to her that she would need to start a garden and take care of it.

She figured she could take the seeds home, then have her new husband take care of the garden.  He could do all the dirty work.

The park was full that afternoon, but as far as seeing guys her own age, early 20s, there just didn't seem to be many.

She even saw some protesters in front of City Hall.

But there was only one guy in the group.  She didn't know what they were protesting, but if it had anything to do with women's rights, then maybe he could be pretty cool to stand up for her.

However, with her wanting a man servant, he might not take to kindly to doing everything for her.   After all, women were now equal.  Well, she was equal, just she wanted the man to do everything for her.

Of course, he also wasn't the cutest guy around either.

Alayna looked around the park and talked to a few people.  She ended up talking to a middle age guy, Simis.  He was very helpful.  She knew he wasn't the guy for her since he was middle age, and it turns out married, but he has lived in Sunset Valley all his life and knew everything about it and all the people.

She explained her story to him, whether he wanted to hear it or not, because to her it was just so awful, and she told him she needed to find a good man to marry or else her parents would disown her.

The man thought for a moment and told her that there were only a few single guys in Sunset Valley.

There were the Frio brothers' and look there is Conner Frio now.
Simis told her that Conner was the nicer brother, but he was also a loner.

Simis said Jared Frio wasn't such a nice guy that he was actually kind of mean spirited, and he had a toddler with his next door neighbor, Ursula.

"There is Cyclone Sword or whatever he calls himself," Simis hiss.  But he has been know to be a punk and that she should stay away from him.  He is only over there with the lady protesters trying to get lucky, but it wont work.  They all know him to well.

There is also a single man name Kolff, but he is a much older man.  At least in his late 40's or early 50's.

There was no way Alayna would ever date, or marry a guy that old.  She rather do the work herself.

"Well, is there no one else?" Alayna asked, disappointed and a little heartbroken.  Maybe, she would have to take care of herself.

"Well, there is Christopher Steel.  That guy over there fishing.  He is around your age and is very nice," Simis replied.

"Oh, thank you," Alayna said, then headed over to talk to Christopher.

She couldn't believe these men were her only choices in town.  How could her parents dump her in such a terrible place?

She walked over towards Christopher and noticed a seed.  At least, this way maybe she wouldn't seem so desperate to catch a man.  She didn't want to scare off the apparently only good man in town.

She bent down pretending to be only interested in finding seeds, when she raised up and noticed the fish he had caught.

"Wow, nice catch," she said.

He put down his fishing rod and turned to her.

He was immediately taken with her beauty, and realized that she was new to town.  Sunset Valley had some pretty ladies, but they were already taken.

He started by asking if she was new to town.

Alayna immediately told him yes.  However, she left out all the details of her parents dropping her off.  She only told him that she had moved far away from her evil parents and that she was all alone in Sunset Valley.  She came to the park to make friends.

They talked for a long while.  She found him very easy to talk to.  They talked about everything from movies they liked to even lady bugs.  He was really friendly, and nice.

She asked him if she could tell him a ghost story and he said yes.

But as she began to tell the story, Christopher walked off.   Alayna was mad.

"Where are you going?" she demanded.

"I'm sorry, but I will be back in a minute," he replied.

Alayna thought it a tad rude that in the middle of her tale he would just walk off, but I guess when you have to go, you have to go.

By now several people were watching her tell her tale, so she didn't stop.  Christopher soon came back and sat down to listen to the rest of her story.

Even some other people eventually came over to set and listen.

By now it was late, and she was getting hungry, she noticed a girl on the other side of the park selling cupcakes.  She finished her story, then walked over to the other side.

Simis saw her walk by and immediately asked her to sit.   He introduce her to the group.

And they offered her a hot dog.  Alayna was glad to have some food.  Even though, she had a fridge at home it didn't have much in it.  She didn't have a lot of money for food, so when the group kindly offered her food, Alayna was grateful.   She even thanked them.

She was starving.   She hadn't eaten all day.  Alayna was surprise at how nice the locals were.  They weren't being paid or rewarded to offer her food.  They were just being nice.

However, Alayna's gratefulness soon turn to disgust when she saw the line of ants crawling towards the food and her stomach soon turn to nausea with the thought that she might have ate an ant.

She put down the plate, said a quick goodbye to everyone, then ran to the street to catch a cab home.

Once home, she let her stomach settle for a bit, then found herself very sleepy.  She went to bed dreaming of her childhood that was filled with great memories.  Memories of others taking care of her, and her forgetting about the place she was at now.

This ends Chapter Two.  Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed it.  I really enjoy writing it.   Please, leave comments on the forum if you want too.  Thanks.

My New Legacy - Helms-Lear - Gen 1 - Chapter One

My New Legacy

Alayna's Story
Generation One

Chapter One

Poor Rich Girl

This is my new Legacy Founder, Alayna Helms-Lear.

screenshot1101f.jpg

Her mother is actually in another story that I have.  Her name is Sophia Anne Wynn. This is her picture.  So, as you can see Alayna looks a lot like her mom.

Alayna is having problems.  Now, you might wonder what kind of problems a young, pretty girl like her could have, but the truth is Alayna is having some major, emotional, money, life problems.

For you see, Alayna has been kicked out of her parents house.  Yes, it's true, quite shocking I know.  But she was kicked out for good reason.

Alayna is a very spoiled rich brat.  Hard to believe, right?  But it's true.  Her parents have always catered to Alayna's every need and want.  She has aged into a young adult without knowing how to cook, or wash clothes, or clean anything.  She has always had someone do it for her whether it was her parents, the butler, the maid, or the nanny.  Alayna doesn't know how to take care of herself.  Plus, on top of it, she expects everyone to do it for her.  She was born with a silver spoon in her mouth, and yes, no one took it out.  They forgot that a child and teen needs to learn things as they grow or else they will grown up not being able to take care of themselves.

So, how did Alayna end up here on this patch of land with nothing.

Well, her parents decided to give her some tough love.  Alayna had grown use to everything being done for her that she never once took the time to say "thank you", or "that is so nice of you", or "can I help", or "what would you like me to do for you", or even "no thank you, I will do it myself".  Never once did she ever utter these words.

Her parents knew it was mean and knew that Alayna might not understand and even be mad at them for a while, but it had to be done.

They gave her some money and sent her to Sunset Valley, a small town, about 300 miles away from them.

They bought the land and dropped her off with just a little money and gave her instructions of what she needed to do.

They also told her that she could not return to them until she learnt some matters, could take care of herself in all things, ( cooking, cleaning, fixing things up, gardening, fishing, painting, and many other things ), she had to get a career, she had to get married, and have a family.  She had to do all this before they would welcome her back into their family, and into their lives, and will.

So, Alayna was dropped off and left there without a house, or car, and she was not happy about it.  In fact, she was down right angry.  At that moment, she didn't care if she ever saw her parents again.

They did tell her that a builder was on his way to start on the house, but she could only build what she could afford with the money they left her.

Needless to say it wasn't much.  When the builder started, ( he had 3 walls up ), then found out she only had a couple of thousand dollars to her name.  Plus, she still had to buy the bathroom, the fridge, the counter, and a bed.  Well, he only hissed at her, took the money for the walls, and his labor, and left.  Leaving her still without a house.

She finally bought the other stuff, but it was the cheapest she could buy and it was all out in the open.

Alayna was heartbroken.  How could her parents be so heartless towards her?   How could she possible live this way?

And as the paper girl came by to drop off the newspaper, Alayna decided to head into town.  She needed to find a man.  Her parents said she had to get married, so why not marry and have him do everything for her.

Well, she would show her parents.  They thought they could take everything away from her.  They left poor Alayna to fend for herself.  Well, she was taking charge of her life, by finding someone else to take care of her.

So, see she wasn't completely useless like her parents thought.

She called a taxi and headed into town to find a guy to support her.

She'll be darned if she was going to live like a common person.  She just had to find someone to wait on her hand and foot.

This ends Chapter One.  I hope you like it and leave messages on the forum if you like.  Thanks.

As Days Go By

Episode Three
Remembering

Still Saturday

**This one is all about one person in this Episode.

The Aurora Lear's home ph. 1

( Picture of Aurora looking out her window.) Photo 2

Aurora Lear peered out her living room window across the street and two houses up.

( Picture of Hines House.)   ph. 3

She had noticed the new neighbors earlier and knew who they were. She had seen them lots of times at Beth Hines house. Of course, it was Beth’s son and his family.
Aurora’s son, Brice, and Beth’s son, Morgan, grew up together. In fact, all the neighborhood kids had grown up and now they had children of their own.
Beth had often talked about her grandkids and how smart they were and she always spoke highly of her son and she always bragged about how successful he was.

( Picture of close up of Aurora.)  ph. 4

Aurora wished she could say the same for her own children.

( Picture of Lena in Jail - behind bars. Maybe ? )
ph. 5

Her oldest daughter, Lena, was in jail for drugs, and robbery and now Aurora was raising her 8 year old granddaughter, Kirsten.

( Picture of Brice Playing guitar in bar.) ph. 6

Aurora’s son, Brice, was more less a bum who lived in Bridgeport trying to make it big as a musician. However, he has been trying for the last 18 years. Sure he was famous in the bars and clubs in Bridgeport, but he never got farther than that. She told him to quit wasting his life away and get a real job. He needed to settle down.
He already blew it a long time ago. He could have been married by now and had children.

ph. 7

At one point in time, Aurora thought Brice and Cora would have gotten married, but that was a very long time ago. They had known each other since they started kindergarten together, and grew up together. They started dating when they were 16 years old and after high school moved to Bridgeport. Aurora didn’t know what happen, just that when they both were 20 years old, they broke up and Cora move back to Riverview while Brice stayed in Bridgeport.
Well, Aurora thought she knew why they broke up. Brice refuse to grow up and hold on to the fact that he was going to be a famous rock and roll star. He was now 36 years old and had never made it big and had been in and out of so much trouble with bar fights and so forth that she was surprise he wasn’t in jail now.
He had called her not to long ago to tell her he was sick of his life and wanted a change, but Aurora had heard this before and wasn’t sure if Brice was being serious or if he was just telling her that, because he was tired of hearing her grip.

( Picture of her walking into kitchen.)ph. 8

She turned from the window and walked into the kitchen and looked at the wall clock. It was 7:45 p.m., soon she would be going to bed.

( Picture of granddaughter.)  ph. 9

She didn’t worry about her granddaughter, Kirsten. She was spending the night with Imelda Waldron who lives across the street and one house down to Aurora’s right. The corner house.

( Picture - close up of Aurora. )  ph. 10

Aurora thought of how much she had spent on Lena. How bailing her daughter out of jail all the time cost money. She use to have a savings, a large one. She spent about every penny she had on bailing her daughter out of jail that last time. It almost cost Aurora everything. Luckily, she was able to sell some painting and keep her house,( she had used it on a bond for Lena, but then Lena skipped town and never showed up for her court date ).

( Picture of her looking at painting on wall.)ph. 11

She turned and walked into the dinning room and looked at one of the pictures on the wall. She gazed upon the one of her daughter, Lena and her child, Kirsten, when she was a toddler.  Lena looked happy with Kirsten, but the truth was, even then Lena was a bad drug addict. She just hid it well from her family.
Aurora had bailed Lena out the last time on a serious crime, robbing a store, her partner also had a gun, while Lena drove the getaway car. Aurora used her house as collectial on the very high bond and then Lena skipped town and not being found until a year later, cause Aurora to almost lose her house. She had sold 5 paintings for a wonderful price and was able to pay the bond.
Still to this day, Aurora felt regret and anger towards her daughter, and knew she would never forgive her. Lena took advantage of her and left her holding the bill and the responsibility.

( Picture of Lena and Aurora walking out of Police station or down stairs.)  ph. 12

Yes, Aurora shouldn’t have bailed Lena out, but her daughter had pleaded and begged and said she learnt her lesson and would change her ways.
Well, Lena didn’t change her ways and Aurora almost lost her home, and was left broke. Eventually, Lena was caught and ended up back in jail, actually prison this time, and Aurora ended up with Lena’s daughter, Kirsten, and Kirsten had been with her now for the last 4 years. Aurora was also able to build back up her savings, not like it use to be, but she did have a little money in the bank now.

ph. 13

Kirsten was a good girl. Maybe, she would become friends with Morgan Hines children, well depending on their age. Hopefully, they were good kids too. Kirsten had been through a lot when she was younger. Now for the last 4 years she had a stable home, a good enough life, and a grandma who loved her dearly.

( Picture of Aurora walking into LV room.) ph. 14

Aurora turned from the hall towards the living room. She was trying to make the best of her life with her granddaughter, because she felt she had failed Lena, Brice, and her youngest daughter, Leah.

ph. 15

However, Leah was quite successful unlike Lena and Brice. Leah was the youngest of her children and right now in college studying to be a doctor.
Luckily, Leah’s college fund was set up a long time ago into a trust that no one could touch. Each child had a college fund. Lena’s was spent a long time ago on bailing her out of jail, or on her just trying to pay bills. Brice blew most of his on his guitar career that ended up going no where.
Out of all her children, Leah was the one she was so proud of. Yet, so afraid that one day Leah would hate her like Lena did.
Aurora had kept the truth from them when they were children, but eventually secrets have a way of getting out.

( Picture of Aurora like she is thinking or Picture of Brice and his dad.) ph. 16

Brice knew he had a different father than his sisters.

( Picture of girls suppose father. Maybe with girls)
ph. 17

However, the man the girls thought was their father wasn’t.

( Picture of Sam and Amber.)  ph. 18

Their biological father was actually married to their Aunt, ( Aurora’s sister ), Amber.

( Picture of Aurora and Sam together.) ph. 19

For the longest time Aurora kept her affair with her brother-in-law a secret. She even lied to her sister about who Lena and Leah’s father was. Although, that wasn’t easy, because Lena looked like their father, Sam Sekemoto.

ph. 20
However, Aurora pointed out that they must have got their looks from Aurora and Amber’s mother, Jetta Lear, whose father was Asian. This seem to satisfy most peoples curiosity.
When the truth did finally come out; it was a terrible ordeal.

( Picture of Aurora and Amber fighting.) ph. 21

That happen 23 years ago and even though her brother-in-law had passed away, Amber could never forgive Aurora for what she had done. Aurora had gave birth to two children with Sam while he was married to Amber and had two children with her.

( Picture of Amber and two kids.)  ph. 22

Amber’s two children were a teenager and a child when Aurora gave birth to Lena. Leah was born two years later. Yes, Aurora had carried on an affair with Sam for about 5 years.

( Picture of Clark and girls )  ph. 23

She did break it off soon after Leah was born, and she ended up finding Clark Hauser, and he eventually adopted Lena and Leah when they were still toddlers.

( Picture of Amber looking at mail, but put her in house. Have her get mail. )  ph. 24

Then Sam passed away and Amber found some love notes that apparently he had wrote to Aurora, but never sent. By this time, Aurora had already been married to Clark for 2 years now. Her daughters were still toddlers and thought Clark was their dad. Brice who was a teen also just assume Clark was. Aurora had been with Clark before and that they had just finally got married. The truth was Brice really didn’t pay attention to the situation that much.

( Picture of Amber and Aurora fighting.) ph. 25

Amber confronted Aurora about it, but for the sake of all the children Amber agreed to never talk about it again, but in return Amber would never talk to Aurora ever again and she sold everything she had and moved her family far away. Aurora had never seen or heard from Amber since; not for 23 years now.

( Picture of Clark in hospital bed with Lena and Leah by his side.)  ph. 26

Lena and Leah eventually found out by the fact that their dad, Clark, got sick and needed a blood transfusion. They had gone to the hospital to help their dad. Aurora didn’t know about this. She found out when her daughters pulled her aside and confronted her with the fact that their blood and DNA didn’t match their father's. They demand the truth. Aurora told them everything.
Lena went off on her. Vowing she hated her and how could she do this to them, and their family, and to their Aunt Amber.
This happen 5 years ago. After that Lena was worst. She always had a rebellious side, but after Lena found out what her mother did, she became 10 times worst. At the time, Lena was 20 years old, but she became wild and strung out.
Aurora blamed herself for Lena’s anger and self destruction.
However, Aurora felt Lena was also to blame for her destruction. Lena had a toddler to take care of, but most of the time she left Kirsten by herself in a living room while Lena destoried her mind and body with men and drugs in her bedroom.
Even if Lena got out of prison today she still couldn’t get custody of her daughter.
Lena was arrested one night, 4 years ago, while Kirsten sat in the middle of the living room floor, crying, hungry, and filthy. Kirsten was sick and was malnutrition. Kirsten almost died that night.

 ph. 27
They granted custody to Aurora. She hadn’t seen her daughter or granddaughter for over a year, not since Lena skipped out on her bond and court date.
Child services made it clear that Lena could not have any contact with Kirsten ever again, or they would take Kirsten away from Aurora, and Kirsten would go into foster care and Aurora, and Lena would never see her again.

( Picture of Aurora looking into hallway mirror.)
ph. 28

Aurora walked back into the hall and looked into the hallway mirror. She was now 59 years old with grown kids and a granddaughter.
Her son, Brice, had never married or settled down and he had no children. At least none that he claimed. However, Aurora knew of his wild ways and his night life. She often asked him if he had any illegitimate children running around with those wild women he hung out with, but he always denied having any children.

( Picture of a young Brice hanging on the wall.)
ph. 29

She looked at his picture on the wall. He was such a great kid and was always on the honor roll. She was so proud of him at one point in time, but that changed after high school.
Now, he was living in Bridgeport playing his guitar in bars and clubs. He didn’t have anything to show for his life and it made Aurora sad.
When he learnt the truth about Lena and Leah’s biological father, his uncle. He was living in Bridgeport. He wasn’t exactly close to Aurora at the time, but he never hated his mom, but he did tell her that was messed up and he understood why Lena was so angry with her and their uncle.

( Picture of a young Leah hanging on the wall.)
ph. 30

Aurora turned and looked at a picture of Leah on the wall.
Leah took it a little better. She was still angry and hurt, but she didn’t hate her mom the way Lena did. Of course, Leah was a very passive child and an adult. It was her whole personality to be nurturing and loving. It was her personality that lead her to the career of a doctor.

( Picture of Aurora walk to the bedroom.) ph. 31

Aurora slowly moved away from the pictures and made her way to her bedroom.
Yes, a lot has happen in the last 12 years and most neighbors knew that her daughter was in jail, and that her son lived in Bridgeport trying to make a music career, and that her youngest daughter lived far away going to college, but no one knew about the affair she had with her brother-in-law, except for Beth Hines, her best friend.
She hoped that Morgan and his family moving into Beth’s old home wouldn’t discover her secret. That Beth never wrote it down anywhere.
Of course, why would Beth do that. Aurora was sure that Beth had taken her secret to the grave. She was just sure of it.
