Chapter Five

First

She woke up the next day and realize she needed to do some cleaning.  There was no maid, or butler and now it was her duty to take care of her stuff.  No one else would do it for her.  She never cleaned before and it took her a few moments to get the hang of it, but once she did she didn't think it was too bad.  Cleaning the sink and counter wasn't too bad, but when it came to the toilet she actually wanted to wrap herself in one big rubber glove, or wrap herself up in one of those space suites before cleaning it. 





After she cleaned, she painted.  She finished this painting, then started another one.  She sold several of her paintings so far, but it's still not a lot of money to begin with.





She decided before it got to late to invite Christopher over again.  She was really starting to like him.





They talked for a while and she told him that she really liked painting and was thinking of making it a career.  She thought he would laugh at her, but he didn't.  In fact, he was very supportive, which made her like him even more. 





She considered him a good friend and decided to make a move.  She flirted with him.  It was the first time she ever flirted with a guy.  She had always been in her own little world when she lived at home.  She had several guys pay attention to her, but she was too busy being all about herself to notice much of anything else.






He flirted back. 






They flirted some more and finally gave each other a hug.






Alayna was completely happy around Christopher.  He made her smile, laugh, and he was interesting.  As the sun was setting, Alayna found she was really enjoying her date. 





And before she could give herself much time to think, she leaned in and gave him a kiss.  She didn't know if it meant much to him, but it was her very first kiss.  She thought it was amazing.





They decided to watch the stars together and Alayna enjoyed their date together.  The more she got to know Christopher, the more she thought she could really fall for him.






Eventually, Christopher left and Alayna couldn't stay awake any longer.  She went to bed thinking of Christopher.  Yes, her parents wanted her to get married, but maybe she could really fall in love with Christopher and not just be using him.
