100 Baby Challenge

Chapter Fifteen

The next morning, Cora took care of the babies, then called Jared Frio.  She wanted to get to know him better.  She had to get on with this challenge.

In fact, she went and got the mail and got another check for $ 2000.00 dollars for Crista and Caleb. 

However, the note this time read that they were disappointed that she was still using the same man.   The town needed variety.  She needed to get on with this challenge and use someone new. 

Cora knew they were right, but it was just so much simplier to use Thornton.  She already knew him.  They even cared about each other.  Well, she thought he did.  She knew she cared for him.

Which was making it hard on her to move on, but with the thoughts of him always spending the night and in another bedroom, she was just getting tired of it. 

Maybe, she didn't really love him and it was just a crush.  Beside, he must not really love her if he always sleeps in another room every time he spends the night.

She called the babysitter and hurried to get dress. 

She went outside and started up her long walkway when she noticed her daughters uptop of the hill.   She thought this was strange and wondered what they were doing up there.  Was it a field trip?

She noticed the time, and realized that the bus had dropped her girls off up there.  This shocked her.

Since, the normal bus Arye rides dropped him off in front of their walkway.   She was confused why they had rode different buses and were dropped off at different places.

The girls had to run down the hill to their house.

However, all three children made it home about the same time and in fact the girls beat Arye home. 

Cora really couldn't deal with the bus problem right then and there.  She hurried to get over to Jared Frio's house.  The babysitter was on the clock and she needed to befriend Jared fast. 

He invited her inside and they started talking. 

However, Jared was being a jerk and disagreed with Cora's logic that Snowmen liked to exercise. 

So, they got mad and yelled at each other.

But Cora who doesn't really like arguing and fighting decided it was better for her to smooth things over. 

She asked him to pillow fight and he agreed.  Whether this was to have fun or just take it out on Cora, she wasn't sure.  But either way, she had fun.

And they ended up getting along quite well.  Even after, the rocky start.

Finally Cora told him goodnight.  It was late and she went home.  All the kids were taken care of and put to bed.  Cora ate a little, then went to bed herself. 

Hopefully, Jared and her would be good friends and then maybe she could invite him over for ....... baby making.  ; )
