Chapter Nine

The next day, a person showed up at her door that morning with an envelope. Inside was a $ 1000.00 dollars and a note from the Announcer.

It read,

Dear Cora,

I heard that the repo person came and that you had to sell some stuff to pay the bills. I know you are having trouble finding time to paint.

I said that I would give you a $ 1000.00 dollars for each baby you have and I meant it. This money is for the birth of Arye. Sorry it is so late.

I did hear you were pregnant again. I'll be watching. I will have more money for you soon after the baby is born.

I'm glad you are doing this challenge, but it seems you are going a little slow. After all, you have been here for 9 days and this is only your second pregnancy. Do remember the time frame. The sooner you have these children the sooner you may enjoy your new home, cars, money, and vacation.

P.S. With the extra happiness that you have been getting we are sending you a potion. It is to help with having twins and triplets, plus we include a potion for less sleep. We hope this helps.

Cora was a little put off by the letter. What did the announcer think, that she could just wish for babies to pop out of her. It took a lot of effort to woo men and get them in bed. Plus, having to train the children all by herself wasn't easy. It was all very time consuming.

However, the $ 1000.00 dollars was great and she bought herself a TV. She had heard a rumor that watching TV would give her a greater chance of having twins and triplets. Whether this was true or not she did not know.

She also took the potions. The first potion was labled Fertility Treatment. She hope it would work. The 2nd potion was just labled Less Sleep. She took them both and hoped they worked.

She took care of Arye and her needs, then decided to go to town. They needed some groceries and birthday cakes.

She made it to the store, but not inside when her labor started.

She had labor pains for about a half an hour and realize she couldn't go home the pain was just to great. She decided to head for the hospital and called the babysitter to come and get Arye.

( Actually, I sent her to the hospital and the game said it was sending a babysitter for Arye. She went to the hospital and Arye disappeared from the street. )

Candy Ashleydale came and got Arye and took him home.

While Cora went to the hospital. She had twin girls. Thornton must have already been in town and heard that Cora was going into labor. He went in with her and carried out his 2nd daughter.

However, Candy had come to town to pick the baby up and take her home.

( Actually my game wouldn't let Thornton take her to Cora's house. It said the babysitter had her and was taking her home. I guess because I hadn't invited Thornton over. )

The taxi dropped Cora off at her very long walkway to her house.

She hoped the 2nd baby was at home with the babysitter.

Which she was.

As soon as Cora got home, the babysitter left. Cora noticed the bills were due again. She didn't have enough to pay the bills which total around $ 700.00. The bills had actually gone down since she sold the nightstand, dresser, mirror, and the alarm was taken.

The $ 1000.00 dollars was great and came in really handy, but she didn't have much of it left. After buying the TV, and paying the babysitter. She needed more money.

She finally checked the mail that night and discovered along with the bills, she also had a check for $ 2000.00 dollars and a note saying it was for her new baby twins.

Cora was relieved and paid her bills.
