Cora Helms

100 Baby Challenge

Chapter Twelve

The next morning, Cora got up and took care of her needs, then took care of the girls needs, then started training.

( Bethany playing with her toy.  I was looking at her hair and realized she had white tips.  Her father's hair has white highlights.   I don't guess it looks to bad. )

Cora spent the whole day training the toddlers that she didn't realize how late it had gotten.  She wondered about Arye and found him upstairs in the study doing homework.

Cora made dinner, then called Arye to the meal.

Cora called the babysitter.   She had been invited to Thornton's party and wanted to go.  She wanted to tell him about his baby daughters and how they had a birthday.  She probably should have invited him, but she didn't.

She made it to the party a little late and was surprise to find Thornton talking to another woman.  She was just a little jealous.  She didn't think the woman was his type, but she never would have guess herself to be his type.  He was so handsome and charming.

She couldn't remember the woman's name, but knew that she was only one of a few handful of women in town.  The women of Sunset Valley were all married, except for Cora and she had been brought in for this challenge.

It seemed like a weird, odd challenge and she wondered if the people of Sunset Valley knew of it.

But the more she thought about it, the more she believe they didn't.  At least, Thornton didn't act like he knew.

Cora went up the stairs and asked to speak to Thornton.  The woman must have gotten the hint and hurried downstairs.  Cora was sure that most people knew she had 3 children with Thornton.

He was actually her first crush.  She had never crushed on anyone before him.  Not in high school or right after high school.  She was pretty young.  So, she hadn't dated a lot.

It wasn't easy to do this challenge, because she had already become attached to Thornton and knew that was a bad thing in this challenge.

Thornton;  "How are you?  I haven't heard from you in a while."
Cora;  "Just fine."
Thornton;  "I've missed you. We are the best of friends, Cora.  We are acting like we haven't seen each other in years.  Why don't you tell me a secret?"

Cora shocked by his comment, leaned in closely.  A secret?  Ok, your daughters had a birthday, but instead Cora blurted out,

"I love you."

It shocked Thornton and Cora.  She had never intended to have ever utter those words to Thornton.  She was in a challenge.  She couldn't, and shouldn't fall in love, especially the very first father of her challenge when she had so, so, many to go.

( I had Cora tell Thornton a secret and it came up and said "I love you." I was shocked by this, but then realized that the game would have her tell him that since in an earlier play it had asked if Cora and Thornton wanted to move in together.  Lol, however, this does not go with the challenge at all. )

Thornton only smiled and asked if he could come to her house.

Cora said yes, and realized he was leaving his party early to go home with her.  Maybe, he loved her too.

However, as Cora and Thornton ran to her house across the street, Cora realized that Thornton never actually said he love her back.

Cora got back home, and sent the babysitter home.  She put the kids to bed, then had to go to the bathroom.

After she washed her hands, Thornton came into the bathroom and gave her red roses.  Cora was thrilled and loved them.  He had gave her flowers before and she always loved getting them from him.

Cora and him ended up in her room for some fun.  Cora was thinking she would get at least one more baby out of him.

And she had told him she loved him, but wondered how she could take that back, especially now that he had came over and slept with her.

What was she thinking?  She was so leading him on.

However, she got up to check on the kids and when she came back to the bedroom Thornton was gone.

She found him sound asleep in the girls room.  Once again, Cora was mad, but instead of starting a fight, she was too tired and just went to bed.
