Cora Helms

100 Baby Challenge

Chapter Four

The next day, day four, Cora woke up.  She was happy to see Thornton still with her.

However, the phone rang and the bill collector told her she was past due on her bills and needed to pay now.  She was shocked that her bills total around $ 800.00.

Good grief, what was she going to do?  She had sold some paintings, but not enough to pay her bills.

She didn't know if she was allowed, but she decided to sell some stuff to the neighbors.

From the Teen Girls Bedroom, she sold the nightstand, dresser, and the mirror.

She paid the bills.  She didn't want to sell the stuff, but she really needed the money.  Plus, it gave her a little extra for birthday cakes.

What Thornton actually going home?

That is only because Cora was leaving to go to the store.

Otherwise, Thornton would have stayed till nightfall.  Yesterday, he had stayed the whole day and evening.  Finally, she just asked him to spend the night, but that was only because she was wanting something.  Plus, it gave her much bless and helped her earn happiness towards rewards.  At least, that was what was explained in the details of her challenge.  She didn't really understand that, but it didn't matter.  She still was getting her needs and wants filled and that made her happy.

She bought a birthday cake and some fruit to plant for extra money.  When she came out of the store, she noticed a man sitting on a bench.  She needed to befriend the men of this town.

She went up to him and talked to him for a little while.  His name was Cyclon3 Sw0rd.  She thought this was a strange name, but didn't want to say anything about it.

She did mention that she was pregnant.  After all, everyone could see it.

But she thought at first it turned him off, since he quickly ran off.

But he ran around to the other side of the building to start arguing with this man.

Cora thought that was rude of Cyclon3, so she went over and greeted the man.  She didn't like fighting and she didn't want to get in a bad mood from seeing one.  She figured this would be the easiest way to break up this soon to be fight.

The man was a tourist named Bashir Sawalha.  He was really nice and only visiting Sunset Valley for a few days.   Cora wish it was longer.  She could use him as one of the fathers and not have to worry about having a relationship since he lived in another country.  To bad she hadn't had the baby yet, otherwise she could have used him today.

She talked to him for a while and he taught her a song from his country.  It was a beautiful song and she loved it.

Finally, Bashir had to leave, so she went to set down beside Cyclon3 and talk to him.  She wasn't sure if she should use him as a father, not with his hot temper, but she knew she couldn't be picky either.

She talked to him for a while, but it was getting late and she needed a restroom.

She went to the park next door, because she knew it had a public bathroom.

Afterwards, she decided to met some people and ran into Mr. Landgraab, who was a doctor.  He asked her if she wanted to know if she was having a girl or a boy, but she said no thanks.  She wanted to be surprised, but she did want to befriend Mr. Landgraab for any future use she needed him for.  Maybe, he could help her with knowing if future babies were boys or girls.

She excused herself and greeted Christopher Steel.  So far all the men seemed really friendly towards her and she wondered if they knew about the challenge, but she was also afraid to ask them.

Maybe, some things were better left unsaid.

Finally, she went home.  It was very late and she was tired and hungry.

She realized in the first time in a few nights she was going to bed alone.  She kind of missed Thornton, but knew this was better.  She couldn't get attached to him.  To much was at stake.

All she could think of now was the arrivial of her new baby.
